Hungarian Ambassador: Hungary will continue supporting Pakistan, inaugurates school at Gurguri KPK built by MOL Pakistan
Ambassador of Hungary to Pakistan said that Government of Hungary will never hesitate to support the people of Pakistan in times of need. While inaugurating Manzalai School in Gurguri, he announced the release of 20,000 USD for the purchase of library books and other items for the newly built school. He also promised another 40,000 USD for the other two schools planned to be established by MOL Pakistan in area of operations.
The Ambassador, Istvan Szabo said that he was immensely pleased to be part of the initiative which was aimed at brightening up the future of children of KPK. He appreciated MOL Pakistan’s role in various welfare activities in Pakistan.
The Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ali Anan Qamar while addressing the gathering appreciated MOL for its contributions in the area with special emphasis on promotion of quality education in its area of operations.
At the occasion, the MD MOL Pakistan, Erno Lipták, in his speech thanked the elders of the area and District Administration Karak for making the endeavour a success. He told the gathering that the school was operational under banner of The Citizen Foundation (TCF) and about hundred children had already been enrolled.
He said that with help of TCF, he wished to make the project a success and set it as a benchmark for other schools to follow. MD MOL said that his company had always given special emphasis to the socio-economic uplift of the areas and considered education as the most powerful instrument.
He said that two other schools were also planned to be constructed in TAL Block in KPK.
The MD/CEO (designate) Mr. Ferenc Juhasz also present on the occasion said that the school was another success of MOL in the area of Gurguri, after exploring gas and oil reservoirs here.
The ambassador also distributed school bags in the school children and also formally kicked off Polio eradication Campaign by administering Polio drops to children.
In the past, MOL Pakistan has also been involved in building infrastructure, rehabilitation works and relief activities during earthquake and floods and has awarded merit based scholarships to Pakistani students. It has already spent about USD 1.6 million for the welfare of communities in Pakistan.
