MOL Pakistan operations
MOL PAKISTAN OIL AND GAS COMPANY B.V. a fully owned subsidiary of the MOL Group is operating in Pakistan since 1999. It is being led by Mr. Akos Grosz w.e.f July 2014 as Managing Director/CEO. Mr. Akos being the sixth head of the subsidiary, has been with MOL since 2008 and has worked on gas infra-structure projects as a senior project manager. Later on he worked on energy and international gas infrastructure projects as Head of Energy Portfolio Development.
MOL Pakistan has a very successful track record of operations in Pakistan where it has operated as well as non-operated joint ventures with the local E&P companies. Currently MOL Pakistan is the Operator of the Tal, Margala and Margala North blocks and it has participation in three non-operated blocks namely Karak, Ghauri and DG khan. Apart from its operations in KPK province, MOL is actively pursuing acquisition of interest in the provinces of Punjab; Sindh & Baluchistan. It holds exploration area of around 10,365 sq.km in various operated & non- operated blocks whereas it has 636 sq.km acreage of the D&P lease area in its operated block i.e. TAL. Till July 2016, MOL Pakistan has managed to drill 21 exploratory wells 5 appraisal wells and 14 developments wells in the Operated & Non operated blocks.
MOL Pakistan has 9 discoveries to its credit in operated blocks namely Manzalai, Makori, Mamikhel, Maramzai, Makori East, Tolanj ,Mardankhel-1, Makori deep-1 & Tolanj West and 4 discoveries in non-operated blocks namely Halini , Ghauri, Kalabagh & Halini deep.
