MOL Pakistan arranges free eye camps in Tal Block
Karak, Pakistan – December 21, 2021: MOL Pakistan Oil and Gas Company B.V. arranges free eye camps in Tal Block.
MOL Pakistan’s free eye camp was held at Urbashi Village, District Karak, about two kilometers away from MOL Pakistan’s Manzalai Gas Plant Facility (GPF). Garnering much interest from local communities in the area, over 700 patients availed free healthcare at the free eye camp staffed by MOL Pakistan’s implementing partner, AlShifa Trust Eye Hospital. Treated at MOL Pakistan’s free eye camp were the elderly, children, 350 men, and 370 women, of whom 360 were given medication, 90 were referred to the hospital for further medical investigation, while 11 patients were taken by Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital transportation to the hospital for admittance.
Mr. Syed Fahad Iftikhar, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Tehsil Banda Daud Shah, District Karak was present at MOL Pakistan’s free eye camp and appreciated the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative at the service of the local community. He stated, “I am grateful to MOL Pakistan for this CSR initiative that improves the health and well-being of the local community residing in the company’s areas of operation. Such CSR initiatives are important to the residents of the surrounding area who do not have the means to travel to far away hospitals and clinics when they need to most. Therefore, this CSR initiative helps local communities in their times of need and helps foster goodwill amongst all stakeholders.”
